› Jeffrey Bloomberg is President of Bloomberg Associated, LLC, an accomplished financial executive and recognized expert in retail mergers and acquisitions. At Gordon Brothers Group served in the office of the Chairman for 15 years, he was responsible t¡for the firm’s business development and sits and the advisory board of both the 1903 Debt Fund – with focuses on secondary secured lending and the trading of secondary debt and the 1903 Equity Fund – 320 million private equity fund focused on the retail and consumer products areas.
Mr. Bloomberg has been a frequent moderator and panel participant for Retail Industrial Leader Organization, Turnaround Management Association, The American Bankruptcy Institute and others discussing the prevailing retail environment and the economic reasons behind such, private equity activity in the retail sector and on the issues facing retailers since the 2005 change in bankruptcy laws.
Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Group, Mr Bloomberg worked in investment banking for nearly twenty years beginning at Lehman Brothers and then serving his final fifteen years on Wall Street with Bear Stearns where he was a General Partner and Senior Managing Director for the Retail and Consumer Products Sectors. In addition, he was a member of Bear Stearns’ Valuation Committee. He was a board member of Nortek, Inc. and formerly served on the boards of Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, Duckwall-ALCO and Asahi/America. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has been active in a number of community organizations and currently serves on the boards of The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Boston and Facing History and Ourselves. He currently sits on the Advisory Boards of G2 Capital Advisers, Sustayn Inc (Avangard Innovative) and Indicator Ventures.
